Sutton Reservoir walk – Saturday 22^nd November – 8.5 miles moderate

The walk starts from roadside parking by Sutton Reservoir and follows the canal north to the edge of Macclesfield.  From here a path rises along the flanks of Birch Knoll revealing views to the south and west before descending to Langley.  Next Ridge Hill is crossed opening up more attractive views before descending into Rossen Dale.  A third climb up Fox Bank emerges on to the crest of the ridge to leading to Croker Hill.  Shortly beyond the Hill of Rossenclowes a descent via Hanginggate Farm completes the walk.
